Ted Lam Memorial Scholarship
IMPACT - In Loving Memory of Pastor Ted Lam
The Pioneers Ministry was founded on the vision of the late Rev. Ted Lam, who had a heart and burden for planting and growing Chinese churches in the United States and Canada. Rev. Lam recognized that a healthy, growing church must be developing leaders that can not only keep the church healthy, but also lead ministries towards future church plant projects for the purpose of Kingdom expansion. As such, he had dedicated his life to raising and developing ministry leaders with a future-focus purpose of leading new church plants in North America.
The Ted Lam Memorial Scholarship Fund is a fund setup in honor of the legacy of the late Rev. Ted Lam to support seminarians called into vocation ministry in the Chinese American or Asian American church context. This scholarship aims to provide tuition assistance with priority given to seminarians that:
-
Intend to serve (post-graduation) in Chinese or Asian American churches in the United States or Canada, OR intends to plant a Chinese or Asian American church in the United States or Canada.
-
Enrolled in pursuit of a MA, MDiv, or ThM degree program at an accredited seminary with a focus on Pastoral Ministry, Cross-Cultural Ministries, Ministry Leadership, Church Health, Church Growth, and related Leadership Study programs.
-
Demonstrates a calling into vocation ministry.
This scholarship is established with the hope that other donors interested in investing in future seminarians can continue to contribute in honor of Rev. Lam’s memory and legacy.
