Ted Lam

Rev. Lam came to the United States in 1961, and completed his undergraduate studies and his graduate work in applied mathematics at University of Nebraska. He worked as a computer programmer from 1968 to 1976, then as a senior consultant from 1976 until he retired in 1995.
 
In 1989, Rev. Lam surrendered to ministry and completed his theological degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. He then served as the Language Mission Specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO) as he helped found the Tulsa International Baptist Church. Rev. Lam also served on the Board of Directors for BGCO.
 
Rev. Lam recently retired from the position of the Director of Church Planting for BGCO but is currently still serving BGCO as the Outreach Team Consultant.  In June 2016, Rev. Lam was elected president of the newly formed Asian American National Fellowship of the Southern Baptist Convention -- to be known as A2CP2 for Asian-American Church Planting / Cooperative Program.  Rev. Lam is also currently supporting various international ministries at Northwest Baptist Church and All Nations Church in Oklahoma City, as well as the Tulsa International Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  
 
Rev. Lam and his wife Jane have one son, Jed, who married Michele Kim in 2002. Rev. Mrs. Jane Lam has been a piano teacher for more than 30 years.  They also have four grandchildren, two boys and two girls, ranging in age from 5-12.
