Coleman Cheong
Pastor 牧師
Pastor Coleman Chong was born in Mississippi to parents who owned and operated a small grocery store in a small rural community. I graduated from Mississippi State University and then served as a missionary journeyman in Thailand for two years sponsored by International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Then I went on to graduate from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (currently called Gateway Seminary) in California with a Master of Divinity. After pastoring a church in Hawaii, I came to Houston, Texas to train as a chaplain intern at a hospital for a year. Upon completion, I came on staff as English Associate pastor at Chinese Baptist Church in Houston. My latest church to pastor is the one I began in Missouri City called Asian American Baptist Church (currently called Faith Fellowship Church) for eighteen years. I retired in 2013 and enjoy ministering to the greater Houston Chinese community. I have been married to my wife, Judy, for 54 years with three grown children and three grandchildren.Biography
