Danny Lee

Danny Lee was born in Taipei, Taiwan, but lived most of his life in the United States.  He grew up
in Texas, and received a Mechanical Engineering (BS) from the University of Texas in Austin, and a
Master of Science in Engineering Management from Syracuse University. Upon graduation from UT-
Austin, he worked as a quality and manufacturing engineer for 8 years before transitioning into the
IT Profession in 2001.  Prior to this transition, he also worked as a projectionist, projection booth
manager, and operations manager for movie theaters. He currently works as an IT Professional in
SAP integration.

In 2019, Danny received his ThM degree with emphasis in Leadership Studies from Dallas
Theological Seminary. He has since been accepted into the Doctor in Ministry (DMin) program in
the Church Health, Leadership, and Multiplication cohort at DTS.

Danny became a born-again Christian in May 1996 at a Christian Conference in Oklahoma. He was
baptized in September of that year at Sugar Land Chinese Baptist Church, where he would later
served our Lord primarily in youth and young adults ministries for both the English and Mandarin
congregation. In 2017, he transferred his membership to Houston Chinese Baptist Church, where
he now serve as a ministry assistant to the Pastoral Staff.

In addition to his service at Sugar Land Chinese Baptist Church and Houston Chinese Baptist Church,
Danny has also been active in a parachurch ministry called Pioneers for the Next Generation (明日
之光), the goal of which is to influence and encourage individuals to get involved in God's ministry
programs and to support the ministry field for future generations.  Danny is one of the founding
members of this ministry and have served as the ministry director since 2011. Danny is currently
leading the effort to expand this ministry’s programs to include church health dynamics, with the
goal of helping churches get healthy and stay healthy. Beginning in 2017, Danny also served our
LORD as an itinerant preacher, supporting the pulpit needs of various local churches mostly in
Texas and Oklahoma.

Danny’s call to ministry is in the area of ministry leadership and discipleship; where he has a
passion to see all followers of Christ join with our Lord Jesus Christ in His ministry work to
accomplish the Great Commission. His desire is to lead and influence change, particularly in the
lives of the spiritually “idle” Christians. His hope is to help individuals grow spiritually, help
churches develop spiritually mature leadership teams, and help ministries overcome interpersonal
and/or spiritual obstacles in pursuit of kingdom goals.
