Jeremy was born and grew up in Hong Kong. He had the opportunity to hear the gospel while he studied in a Christian elementary school and he made his decision to follow Christ in his first year studying in Hong Kong Baptist University.
 
Not long after he was baptized, Jeremy felt the Lord’s calling to full time Christian ministry in his 2nd year in college. After he earned his M. Div. from Hong Kong Baptist Theological seminary, he began to serve the Lord at Macau Baptist Church, where he was ordained as pastor.
 
Jeremy came to California in 1987 to pursue his Doctor of Ministry at the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (completed in 1991).  In his twelve years in California, Jeremy had served as pastor with Los Angeles Crenshaw Baptist Church, Gardena, and First Chinese Southern Baptist Church, San Francisco.
 
In 1999, the Lord led Jeremy to pastor First Chinese Baptist Church of Atlanta in Georgia.  

 

The Lord has led Jeremy to serve with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention since 2004 to promote and facilitate church planting across US and Canada among Chinese and many different Asian people groups.  

 

Jeremy is married to Josephine and they have 4 children. Jeremy enjoys leading Bible study and translation. Jeremy is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
